Vintage Vogue 8729 Pattern Complete!

Finally, after putting in a few hours here and there, my first Summer project is complete!

I decided not to do the underskirt as the taffeta I used is pretty thick and the gathers make the skirt stick out quite a bit anyway.

Sorry that the pictures aren't very clear, my mirror has scrawlings and drawings on it dating back to prehistoric times...

I might add a belt to this dress in the colour of the bow, just to liven up the front a bit more.






















I like the two colours together at the back, even though the bow doesn't fall exactly the way I'd like it to.


Also, the zip was hell to put in! I had to redo it countless times before I could call it passable.





I'm quite happy with it overall, the fit is just right too.To say it's the first thing I've made in over a year, I've not messed it up too badly!
